Who owns your web address

You do. When we register a domain for you it goes in your name, with your details as the owner. It is yours, not ours, and it stays yours whether or not you stay with us.

If you leave, you keep it. We will hand over whatever is needed to move it, and we will not hold it hostage — that practice is common in this industry and it is the main reason people are afraid of web companies.

If you already own your address, we simply point it at the new site. We do not take it over.
